This week...I can't really remember anything terribly exciting it's all kind of a blur.
So the other day we looked at our plans at 1:00 and it said "T" (the 14 yr old we're teaching) and we wondered why we put "T" at 1pm. He doesn't get out of school until after 3. But we were in the area so we decided just to drop in on the family he is living with and talk to the mom, who we didn't really want to talk to. She finally opened up and told us the real reason she hasn't been going to church. (For privacy purposes, we'll keep her very personal reasoning out of a public blog.) So anyway Heavenly Father definitely put her in our path the other day because she needed someone to talk to because she's never told anyone and now she considers us her best friends.
Also -"B" had a really hard week. She lives across the street from a park so when it's nice out we go and have our lessons there. She is really, really struggling and so with all the blessings she's been getting with the gospel, now all the trials are coming. It's hard not being able to really help and it breaks my heart, I just wanted to hug her the whole time. We gave her a Preach My Gospel yesterday and she text us this morning and she already finished it. She got a calling as a primary teacher too. We're excited!
OH soo I have to talk in church next Sunday. TWICE. Once in one of our English wards and once in the Spanish branch. Also they asked us to sing in the Spanish branch. The whole singing thing is getting really old. "B" had us sing at her baptism which I was willing to do because I love her, but I DON'T SING, so this whole duo thing is not fun for me. Especially because Hma O likes to do the alto part, so you pretty much can't hear her and I don't know how to do that, so basically everyone is just hearing my voice, which isn't pretty, it's just normal. But anyways this will be my 4th talk in 4 months. Half the sister missionaries have never talked on their mission. I'm paying for not having a farewell!
Oh "M" - He came to church and loved it. We taught the plan of salvation and Word of Wisdom the other day and he committed to live it. The plan of salvation is my favorite lesson to watch people's reaction because it just makes sense and especially the ones who really know the bible. We show them all these scriptures they have never noticed before and it CLICKS.
I feel like that is my purpose a little bit on my mission, maybe why Heavenly Father really wanted me to go. I relate with people because I've had to go through change, and it's not easy.
