First of all…
Christmas
plans- Us and the other Spanish sisters in our ward will be working the
Christmas lights at the Temple all Christmas night. We have church from
like 8-2ish. BUT we heard a rumor that they are going to do transfer calls
early so we can tell our families if we are getting transferred or not.
I'm pretty sure I’m staying but I think they are closing my area:( and we
will go to one companionship in the ward. We will see. I also think
my greenie will be leaving me:( Which stinks. But I haven't had a companion
that I wasn't training or green in over 8 months so it might be nice to have a
comp that’s broken in a little?
ANYWAYS This week was great:)
We had a
miracle!!
So remember about 2 months ago when we brought that crazy member with
us to a lesson and she scared the crap out of our investigator? Well…we've
never had a lesson with him since until this week!!! And it was soooo
good!! He had so many questions. We'd had zone conference earlier that
day and all of zone conference was about Revelation and how to teach our
investigators how to receive revelation and how we can better receive
revelation
for them...So we changed our lesson plan to teach him about revelation and
everything clicked! He told us he believed the Book of Mormon was true! That Joseph
Smith was a prophet! He has such a hunger asking us so many good questions it
finally all clicked for him!! It was so exciting to see- we were both smiling
ear to ear as he connected all the dots! Now “D” is getting baptized JANUARY
7th! So I better freakin not get transferred. We have been sooo happy all week
about him...except yesterday he didn't come to church..and he promised.. UGH we
were so sure we were going to have at least 6 investigators at church yesterday
for sure...but nope 0!! I hate getting stood up at church it gets old really,
really fast and it’s just plain depressing :( They all literally said
"yes" it wasn't even "Si Dios quiere" or "primeramente
Dios" ...bahhh
We had a lesson with our recent converts “R” and “D”!
I love checking in with them! They are on fire and doing so much missionary
work! They are talking to all their family and friends about the church! It's
exciting. I love hearing and seeing their testimonies grow between our visits!
They're learning so much so fast. “D” has seriously made a 180 from when we
first met her. She can't get enough now and every time we come over she tells
us all the new things she's learned about. They're really excited to go through
the Temple. “R” and little “R” will be getting the priesthood this week too
which they're so excited about. I love them! We only see them every other week
now and they always tell us they miss us and “D” probably hugs us at least 3
times during a lesson haha. They're the cutest lil member family ever.
OH
sooo at zone conference they installed these little black boxes in our cars and
told us not to worry about them but they would explain them in 6 weeks...But
it's super distracting and has all these blinky lights and so we were all way
too curious so we had members look it up on the internet! It's a tracker! It
tracks what time we leave and get
home, they can see where we are, it also
marks our driving and if we go 1 MILE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT it sends a notice to
Salt Lake and it gives us a point and in 6 weeks they will sit down with us and
talk about our points?? FAIL. I mean I see the point if we were really
disobedient but seriously I think it's going a little too far... So guess who
won’t be driving next transfer....haha. I guess it's a pilot program from the
church and our mission is the guinea pig...It's so distracting and it stresses
me out because I’m always going at least 1 mile over..
Anyway...our area
is still pretty darn slow but we are seeing little tender mercies all the time.
Okay sorry this is shorter...We have a lot of plans today:)
Oh
but yes general conference talks is Spanish on CD...so I can help my companion
and she can hear the accent. I don't know if they have it on LDS.org or Deseret
book?
And sorry I just thought I would be honest. If you send me a
Christmas present early I will open it:) I'm too curious.
I LOVE YOU!
