I'm in Tempe!
I am with Hermana "B", over the last 3 weeks after we did exchanges and I got a really distinct feeling I was going to go with her before it was announced.
We have 3 new Spanish sisters, Sister O's newbie is really cute and perfect for her.
We had a good last week in Gilbert though!
Oh minus the car accident ha ha. There was this two way stop and we had the right of way so we went...and then this old truck rolled through the stop sign and we T-boned them. It was slow motion and it was hilarious looking back...I am my mother! My mouth wasn't working or something because I couldn't talk fast enough to explain to Hma O that we were going to hit them...so I slapped her wheel and hit my imaginary brake on my passenger side...but we still heard the crunch. THEN the truck starts to DRIVE OFF!! So we are like WHAT THE HECK they're running! (I honked the horn for Sister O because she was yelling like they could hear her through the car? I am a really good passenger driver lol) We got their license plate number but then we saw them pull over up the street, where they live, and then we had to wait AN HOUR for a police officer to come. The front of our car and bumper is all caved in..the officer was there for less than 30 seconds..and is like "Share your insurance information"...Doesn't even ask what happened but assumes it's our fault. Doesn't give them a ticket...then they kind of made it sound like it was our fault. Meanwhile they had a beer in her hand? So the officer leaves and we start to get her information and she gave us the WRONG LICENSE PLATE NUMBER which we knew right away because we already had written down her license plate number from before?
But that was our last adventure and it was a good one. We have pictures.
We went to the visitors center with "L" and "C" and it was perfect! Well minus the fact that we told them to meet us at the chapel by their house before so we could all drive together. We waited there for an hour and they weren't answering their phones so we thought they ditched us, but then we got this gut feeling that they were already at the temple so we called the visitors center and they announced their names over the intercom and they were there! So lucky! We got there just in time to make the movie, The Restoration. We got there and they were so cute! They were all dressed up! He had a tie and white shirt and slacks and his wife had done her hair and was wearing a dress and heels and the little girl was so cute. After the movie we did "the family walk" this thing in the visitors center that's really focused on the family and you go around and listen to short little videos as you walk through this set that is supposed to look like a house.. hard to describe.. anyway they started to cry and their little girl was like "Mom, this is amazing!" It was really cool the spirit was really strong. We walked around and showed them things about the temple and they FINALLY understood why they need to get married and they started saying "So we have to wait a year after we get married to be sealed to our daughter here huh? " They also kept saying how good they felt and were all holding hands it was really cute. I'm sad I'm not going to get to see what happens with them:(
Let's see.. "T" passed the sacrament last Sunday and he bore his testimony.. The same kid who doesn't pray or talk EVER, literally never heard him pray. He got up on Sunday with the same little "S"(next door neighbor that invited them to scouts and to be baptized) and "S"'s testimony was "I know that Thomas Smith is a prophet" It was cute. His mom asked him why he decided to share his testimony because he had never done it before and he was like "Mom I just felt the spirit pulling at me so strong, and I knew I needed to, you have to follow those feelings." He's eight and a little spiritual giant!
We had a lot of good lessons last week..but i have like 5 minutes left and I don't have time to write them..
Tempe should be good, apparently I will have really good stories.. so that is good:)
We went to Texas Roadhouse last night for our last night together and I heard all these country songs I have never heard- it made me sad! I think I miss country music and pants more than anything in the entire world!
Okay I LOVE YOU. I miss you
