I'm 11 months today!!
This week was probably one of the longest weeks of my mission. OOHH
MYY GOOSHH slow. annndd We had NO miles meaning lots of biking:(
Biking 10hrs a day in 110 degree weather with every single lesson
falling through...terrible....BUT because we are missionaries and we're weird, whenever we wanted to break down after another canceled
lesson we would take a break and talk about the atonement. I know its
weird..but it really helped because so many times when we are teaching
the atonement we think that he suffered for the bigger pains and
afflictions and we forget about our little daily afflictions that we
don't
think are fair that no one else understands. Biking oddly helped
my testimony of the Savior grow a little this week. Which is really what
I needed. I feel like we repeat the same lessons and bear our
testimonies of the same things over and over again that it's easy to
lose the feeling behind it and conviction and sometimes it because the
same repetitive testimony. We taught the atonement so much clearer this
week and it meant so much more to us and we sat teaching feeling
disgusting and sweaty from biking, it helped us remember the Savior and
made it harder for us to feel bad for ourselves. As much as I really despise biking, there were blessings. "M" received the Aaronic priesthood this week and it was the SWEETEST
blessing ever. He was blessed that he would baptize his parents (who
aren't members) and be a powerful priesthood holder. He and "S"
are the best recent converts ever. I wish we could find more people like them.
Oh this morning we were talking to the APS...who we totally have wrapped around our finger because one of them used to be in our ward
with us. Today we were talking
with them because we always see them at the track that we run at in the
mornings and we told them we had been biking all week and THEY gave us
50 more miles..YAY!!!
As for everything else, I can't think of anything terribly exciting to tell you. I just can't wait for this summer to be over!
Okay sorry this wasn't more exciting..
LOVE YOU!
