It was a good week!!

We had the sweetest experience this week. So this transfer has been harder because nothing has been easy and all of our investigators have a handful of problems and the other day we started to feel like we weren't getting anywhere or making a difference in anyone’s lives. That same day we had the coolest lesson with "E". She's 14 and we haven't been sure how much she's listening. But we got there and she was with her two little friends that live in the same neighborhood- they asked us if they could listen too and have a Book of Mormon. We last minute decided to teach them about how they are daughters of God.  It was the coolest lesson. In the beginning of the lesson "E" asked if she could say something and then started bearing her testimony and telling us she prayed about the Book of Mormon and she knows it's true because she feels something every time she reads it and she started crying and thanking us for teaching her how to pray because she knows that someone is listening to her. SO COOL. But it was so amazing as we talked to them about how special they were- they lit up and they opened up to us so much. The one girl raised her hand and told us she felt really good in her heart and how sometimes she feels alone and all she wants is a better life and to not live where she is anymore and how she wants to do everything so that she never has to raise a family like the one she has. Our hearts broke for these poor girls as they told us all their fears and worries but it was amazing to see the doctrine heal and calm them that night. They're coming to YW this week:)  Only problem is her parents are taking lessons from the another church...BUENO....I think it really hit us this week how much we take for granted growing up with the knowledge that were daughters of God. It makes all the difference in the world.
Hermana H and I have decided that as members we really take the knowledge that we are children of God and the priesthood for granted. Especially the priesthood. I can't even begin to write how many how experiences we've had with the priesthood and how much my testimony of the priesthood has grown during my mission. I think I learn something new everyday. OH "J" (Recent convert that just received Melchizedek priesthood) gave one of his first blessings this week to "P" to help him stop smoking! We were so proud of him. I'm not sure who was more nervous though him or us ha ha. I love watching the Elders grow in the priesthood and also recent converts. It's amazing. The priesthood is pretty cool. Yes I realize that is a corny statement you will make fun of me for but I don't care. I'm only aloud to make corny statements for a little while longer so I'm going to use them up :)

What else? OH ha ha I am probably never going to live this down. I got asked out at church yesterday. It was awkward. So about a month ago we ran into this less active guy that was homeless and he whipped his Patriarchal blessing out of his pocket and read the whole thing to us.  He explained that it said he has potential meant that he was going to be the prophet one day…yep.  We tried to just end the conversation and invited him to come back to church and to our surprise he actually came and has been going to the English ward ever since. Whenever he sees us at church he talks our ear off. He's a very strange guy. He's like 40 years old, long hair, big glasses and always wears this awesome bright baby blue suit.  Yesterday he overheard us saying that we had to teach gospel principles because the teacher didn't show, so he decided to sit in on our class and make weird comments the whole time. After class we were walking out and he shook my hand, but then he didn't let go and says "I hope this isn't too forward...but I just need to know what your plans are after your mission...like are you going to go and just date a ton of guys or just one or just go and get married really fast?"   So I blank and I’m just thinking is this really happening right now? Hermana H made him let go of my hand and lied and said "She has a boyfriend who is her OWN age." (Which was really snappy and quick!) But did this faze him? No -he starts saying "Well I think that you should date lots of guys because if you date just one then the other ones think they don't have a chance and that's not fair"...I said "Isn't that the point?"  And he said "I see it another way"...and starts talking about how back in the day with polygamy how I could have been ONE OF HIS WIVES and I’m just lucky to be on a mission right now as a woman because I wouldn't have been able to back then.  What the heck? Seriously? The elders were peeing their pants. Hermana H was so mad and said "There are just some things that shouldn't be aloud to happen at church. Number One there should not be cockroaches in the chapel, number two creepy old crazies twice your age shouldn't ask out the missionaries. It’s just inappropriate." haha I agree.

We had a funny lesson with little "J" and "JS" (8 and 9 years old) and we were reviewing some of the lessons and we asked them “What were some important things that Jesus Christ did when he was here.” "JS" said "He harvested wheat" and proceeded to show us how pretending to dig and put seeds in the ground.  We were dying laughing. So cute! Then later we were talking about conference and how cool it is that we have a prophet today and we asked them if they could ask the prophet one question what they would ask him.  "JS" said "I would ask him where I put my Star wars book - I can't find it." and "J" said "I would ask him if he could do THIS" and he stuck his hands through his legs and stood on his hands... It wasn't the most effective lesson but pretty funny. The cute part was when we were talking about the priesthood they listened so well and soaked it in. "You're telling me that MY grandpa has this magic priesthood?"… So cute. They are both really excited to pass the sacrament one day. They were walking around practicing.

Anyway..it was a really good week.
I love you all:)
