THIS WEEK was awesomely terrible. It was impressive how many things went wrong.  We had a billion lessons cancel, but even though this week was horrible for missionary work we had fun and laughed a ton.  We had a lot of little adventures and funny things happen that made everything okay.

We had a FIESTA this weekend with the ward for Mexican Independence day! It was SO FUN! Everyone dressed up and went all out! They had little performances and games and dancing and karaoke and tons of food.  We had to sing with the Elders, which ended up being hilarious! I wish I would have had it video taped! One of the women in our ward brought up all this Mexican clothing and we sang "Cielito Lindo" (you've probably heard it) and the whole ward got up and started dancing and singing. I love this crazy little ward...most days.

Yesterday was the best day ever! So Sunday has become the most stressful day of the week and the last 4 weeks our investigators haven't been coming to church. This week we taught them about the Sabbath Day for the 10th time this week and once again they said they would be there.  Two of them are getting baptized in a few weeks and they stink at coming to church consistently and it's KILLING us. So Sunday was the test to see if they actually freaking come to church.  We called them both at 8am to wake them up (they asked us to do that) and neither answered. So church starts and they are both not there.  I have never be so let down, frustrated or discouraged. We did everything we could possibly do and they still aren't coming.  By the time sacrament started we were both fighting back tears. Seriously… WHAT THE HECK?!  It's so hard when you are doing everything and nothing is working. THEN the best tender mercy ever.  “M” (my recent convert that is struggling) walked in!  She came back to church!  I just started crying and felt so relieved.  Even though no investigators were there, seeing “M” made me so happy.  I've never worried or prayed about someone so much in my life.  I don't think they understand how much we love them.  It gives me an idea of what Heavenly Father must feel like sometimes.  So that was an awesome event and such an answer to my prayers and then “P” walked in toward the end!  Then it was cool because in Gospel Principles the class was supposed to be about obedience but randomly the conversation changed to the Word of Wisdom- which was exactly what both “P” and “M” needed. So “P” is awesome and he raised his hand and told the whole class that he was having a lot of opposition and a hard time giving up smoking but he knows what the missionaries are teaching is true and the Book of Mormon is true.  He is awesome.  So the best part is that the class is full of all our recent converts and new members and they all started bearing their testimonies to him and giving him ideas of what helped them stop smoking.  It was such a cool moment to see all our recent converts so sincerely share their experiences and to see that their testimonies are still growing. “M” started tearing up. The spirit was so strong it was one of the best Sundays of my mission!

We had lots of little funny things that made us laugh all week. It was a really, really random week.  So we were in the bathroom at the church and we walk in and there is this giant cockroach!  We decided we were going to be brave and just go anyway and hopefully it stays there in its little corner.  So as I’m leaving my stall and we are talking about the cockroach, I see something fall out of the corner of my eye and hear this little click.  ANOTHER freaking cockroach, but GRANDOTA, fell down from the ceiling vent right on the handle for the door I was opening.  Like a centimeter from my finger.  I squealed SO BAD.  The next thing I know I’m standing on the toilet and it's just running around in circles super fast on the door and I'm trapped! Hermana Hansen is screaming too. Every time I went to try and open the door again it would shake its antennas at me and run toward me!  GEW..thinking about it gives me goose bumps. But I made it out alive. The church is supposed to be a safe place. There should not be cockroaches in the church. Fact.  I'm getting so brave on the mission.

Well I’m out of time.  I love you:)
